Leo Dal Santo Award
The Leo Dal Santo Award is the highest honor a Hillsboro Rotarian can recieve. The award began in 1995 as a way of honoring Rotarians for their dedicated service to the club and community. Leo joined Hillsboro Rotary in 1970 shortly after he moved to Hillsboro from Olympia Washington 1969. Mr. Dal Santo chaired every committee in the Hillsboro club, President in 1974-75, served as a board member, Foundation board member, and the Sergeant at Arms for over 25 years. Mr. Dal Santo played an integral role in the forming of the Rotary Christmas Auction, Leonard Gratteri Rose Sale to benefit youth scholarships, as well as the 4th of July Parade. Mr. Dal Santo lived by the saying, “It’s not what Rotary can do for you, but what you can for Rotary”.
