Donna Bosak

I joined the Hillsboro Rotary club when I was a new business owner. Becoming a part of a service organization seemed a logical choice for business growth. Also, part of my business philosophy is to give back to the community. I saw Rotary as an avenue for service, as well as the opportunity to meet and connect with other local business owners. The reason I continue my membership goes much deeper. Becoming a Rotarian has helped me define who I am not only as a business owner, but as a person. I have had the privilege of getting to know many wonderful, caring individuals who also happen to be Rotarians. As the Community Service Chair, I have the opportunity to seek out new ways for our club to connect and serve our local community. From serving a hot meal to nhomeless youth through Home Plate, to pulling weeds at Rood Bridge Park, it’s always an honor to be serving a club that holds integrity and friendship to the highest standard possible. And now, thanks to some assistance from the Rotary Foundation, I have the opportunity to travel to the Ivory Coast of West Africa with Rotarians from around North America and aide in administering polio vaccines as well as to participate in community service field work. This is the pinnacle of what Rotary represents. It’s serves as another example of how Rotary can change your life.
