Raising funds to help enrich the lives of Hillsboro Oregon Residents.

The Hillsboro Rotary raises funds and awareness to help enrich the community of Hillsboro Oregon. We help by giving funds to rebuild local landmarks, give funding for education, raise awareness for local causes, volunteering for understaffed organizations, as well as international philanthropy.

Helping Our Community for 100 years

Our Mission

Service Above Self

The professionals that make up our membership are passionate about serving their local, and global communities. In Rotary language, Hillsboro members put ‘Service Above Self’.

The members of the Rotary Club of Hillsboro participate in service projects in their greater community, as well as internationally, based on the interest of members. Examples of service projects include our Adopt-a-Park project at Rood Bridge, being involved with the Oregon Food Bank by donating and sorting food, giving our time and money to get the Washington County Family Justice Center off the ground, repairing and donating gently used bikes to low-income children, purchasing new textbooks and graphing calculators for local schools, and donating text books to schools in Uganda and the Philippines.

Being a Rotarian also offers members the opportunity to travel to foreign countries. By teaming up with local Rotary clubs in a particular foreign country, the Rotary Club of Hillsboro is able to leverage its resources and provide essential services to individuals in that community. For example, Hillsboro Rotarians have built clean and sustainable water systems for two villages in Peru. We have also worked in health clinics in Africa to distribute Polio vaccinations as part of Rotary International’s End Polio Now project to eradicate polio.
